Loïc Destremau (1992-) is born and raised on the island of Zealand, Denmark, with his french-danish family. Destremau began his musical education in 2007 studying at the Zealand Church Music School and graduated as organist in 2011. During the same period, he attended chamber music and private composition lessons with Svend Aaquist at the local music school.
In 2012 Destremau entered the Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus (DK) in the composition department with lecturers Simon Steen-Andersen & Niels Rønsholdt and finished his undergraduate studies in Summer 2015.
Destremau is currently studying post-graduate composition studies in Conservatorio di Bari "Niccolò Piccinni" & Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus. Loïc's works show wide interests and curiosity, which drives him to explore different compositional techniques, structures, concepts and musical media-platforms. Loïc is not in pursuit of belonging to or creating a genre or his own style but continues to try out new ways of making music and musical acts.
