Franz Xaver Gruber (1787 – 1863), was an Austrian primary school teacher and church organist. He composed the music for the Christmas carol Silent Night On Christmas Eve of 1818, where it was performed with guitar accompaniment. This tremolo version was arranged by Allan Bergmann Jensen - editor of Bergmann Edition.
