Vittorio Rossi began studying the classical guitar at very young age. His studies were interrupted for some years while he travelled abroad where he was widening his experience in the musical field, playing in several orchestras both in Europe and Australia. When Vittorio Rossi came back to Savona, he resumed his classical studies and composition. He taught in a classical guitar school for many years. In addition to his frequent performances as a soloist, Vittorio Rossi writes classical music and modern music for guitar. At the Accademia Musicale of Genova, he had the diploma, and he studied vocal polyphony and composition sacra.
He wrote music for flute and guitar, flute, viola and guitar, duets and quartets guitar ensembles as well. Rossi was awarded in Ancona, Torino, and Livorno ed Alassio. He won the first prize at the Concorso Nazionale di Composizione by the Associazione Culturale "De Musica". He had several certificates as a composer. One in particular from the Concorso Internazionale di composizione "P. Bareschi" organised by the Centro Chitarristio Toscano in Viareggio (Italy). Recently he wrote seven pieces dedicated to Wales where he lived for some years. The most important concerts were in Savona Teatro Chiabrera, Teatro Guglielmi Massa, at Music Hall and Shrewbury conservatorio in England, teatro Colombo, Villa Cambiaso among others. At the moment he dedicates his time to composition and teaching, and besides, he plays with a choir.
