Mathieu Constantin was born on 4th of March 1987 in Sierre, and he started playing guitar at the age of seven in the class of M. Christian Tille at the Conservatory of Sion. In 2005 he obtained the certificate of guitar amateur with the mark: "Excellent". That same year he took part in the Swiss Youth Music Competition, where he won the first prize. He started following classes in August 2005 with Mr George Vassilev and obtained his teaching diploma in 2009. He completed the Master of Interpreting in that same class in June 2011.
Alongside his guitar activities, Mathieu Constantin shares interest on various subjects, such as composition, research and creation. In 2007 He performed the Concerto Op. 15 by Guy Kummer-Nicolussi, a concert created "for his fingers" according to the composer. In 2009 Mathieu Constantine recorded the works for guitar ensemble also composed by Guy Kummer-Nicolussi.
